Don Mullinax is a principal in the Los Angeles office of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP. Don leads forensic audits, fraud investigations and provides anti-fraud program services to both the private and public sectors.

Prior to joining Deloitte, he served as the Inspector General for the Los Angeles Unified School District where his audits and investigations led to major reforms to the school system’s procurement processes, financial management systems, and multi-billion dollar construction and modernization program. Don also is the former Chief Investigator of the U.S. Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. In that capacity, he conducted a broad range of complex investigations, including contract fraud, public corruption, and health care fraud.

Don is a frequent speaker on anti-fraud programs, including fraud risk assessments, ethics programs, and fraud hotlines. He has a number of professional certifications, including Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Internal Auditor, and Don was recently elected to serve on the Board of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
