Cynthia Kho from LAFD

Ms. Kho is a Senior Accountant at LAFD who demonstrated high level of commitment to her work and to the accounting profession worthy of this special recognition… She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with major in Accounting and she had served in numerous positions in both private and pubic organizations. She is a valued and well respected member of the Los Angeles Fire Department where she promoted to Sr. Accountant II in 2004 and personally supervises and manages the daily operations of the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Accounting & Grants units of the LAFD Accounting Services Section. She works closely with the Departmental Chief Accountant to oversee the LAFD’s $550 million annual budget with nine various salary accounts, the most complicated structure in the City of LA and 17 expense and equipment accounts, involving general, special and grant funded accounts. Ms. Kho’s contributions over the past eight years has resulted in realizing significant efficiencies in how the Department conducts business and through her dedication and commitment played a vital role in the streamlining of accounting operations of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
