1ST VICE PRESIDENT – BERNIE APOLONIO

Bernie Apolonio holds two bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Economics. While in college, he was the recipient of a four-year college scholarship and graduated with distinction as an outstanding graduate in the School of Economics and Business Administration. After graduating at age 20, he started working as Operations Analyst at a large industrial firm in the Philippines. While working full time, he attended the CPA review classes at night and successfully passed the CPA exam shortly thereafter.

At age 25, Bernie was already a junior executive at a medium-sized bank in the Philippines, eventually assuming a middle management position prior to migrating to the USA. In 1997, he joined the City as an Accountant at the Treasurer’s Office. Over a span of four years, he promoted to Tax Auditor, Management Analyst, and Senior Accountant. He is currently a Principal Accountant at the Department of Transportation.

Coming from a diverse background, Bernie values cross-cultural synergism in empowering the workplace. He enjoys traveling, watching movies, and hanging out with his family.
